Stocklinch is known locally as being a social, welcoming and close-knit community. Over the past few years the village has enjoyed, amongst may other things, Putting Competitions, Table Tennis Tournaments, Treasure Hunts, Racing Pigeons’ Evenings, Safari Suppers, Harvest Festival Suppers, Film Shows, our (very original) annual Pantomimes and Bridge Tournaments. Some of Stocklinch's 120 residents have lived here all their life - others have left hectic city lives in exchange for our rural idyll. We also enjoy quite a sprinkling of people who have come from or lived in quite a number of other countries right around the globe.
There is still one working farm in the village, although sadly the last dairy cows left a few years back, and nearly 40% of Stocklinch's working population work from home.
